Volunteering at Chez Chevaux: Engage in Empathy
Who are our Volunteers?
Volunteers are the lifeblood of any rescue. We accept Volunteers as young as 8 (with an adult) or 14 without an adult. Volunteers must be able to pass a background check and be legally allowed to work around children. Volunteers don’t have to have any previous equine experience, just an open heart, a willingness to learn, and hands ready to work!
What do Volunteers do?
Being a volunteer often means physical labor on the farm, but we strive to accept any and all help that you can offer and can work within limitations. Volunteer work is often cold, stinky, comes with risks like injuries, bug bites and exhausting- but it’s also rewarding as you get to have a direct positive impact on animals that need it the most!
Volunteer Opportunities:
We have weekly shifts for volunteers, and also frequently call for larger groups for specific projects. The best way to get involved is to get in contact with us via email (info@goldenowlridingschool.com) , or on our facebook page!
