Solstice - Adoption Fee $1500, Medical Exemption Available
Solstice is a young wild caught gelding. He is estimated to be 4 years old, and about 14.2 hh. Solstice has been working on his groundwork and handling skills, and has become a very nice gentleman to work with. he has packed a saddle and bit, and has had his first rider on. He would make a good first project horse for a confident intermediate teen with a Trainer’s support, or an adult. He can go any direction with no restrictions. He will continue to be worked with and receive training for however long he is here with us. This goofy sweet guy really wants to connect and have his own person!
Medical note: Solstice does have cancer on one lower eyelid. It is relatively small, and should not result in the loss of the eye, but in the future if it re-occurred, it could. For an approved adoptive home that can have this dealt with surgically within 6 months of adoption, his adoption fees will be waived. -
D'artagnan- Adoption Fee $1200
D’artagnan is a coming 4 year old Azteca colt available pending gelding this fall. He will need a very experienced person to bring him along. He has halter and lunge training, but needs more polishing. He has packed a saddle with no fuss, but has not had his first rider up yet as we continue to work on solidifying ground driving first. He is smart, cheeky, and wants to connect, but still has some behaviors (mostly biting, occasional kicking) that warrants an experienced hand and mandates a consistent program (does so much better with consistency!). He would be stunning doing just about anything! No limits for this cool dude!

Celestia- Adoption Fee $800 (or 1200/pair)
This sweet little 12 hand hackney mare is a real diamond in the rough! Celestia was pulled from a kill pen after her whole herd was sold through auction. Most of the ponies made it to safety thanks to the efforts of our rescue network, but she and her colt, Shining Armor, were left behind. Celestia has done a lot of work on coming out of her shell and learning to trust people. She is still working on her groundwork and being consistent about her feet being handled, but she has come so very far, and we are very proud of this once wild pony. Due to her history and current training level, Celestia is not currently appropriate for a child. She would make an incredible in hand, liberty, or driving partner. She is a kind and patient mare, but is not always easy to catch in large spaces.
-
Luna- Adoption Fee $800 (or 1200/pair)
Luna, like Celestia, is about 12 hh and a hackney pony. It is likely that she and Celestia are at least half sisters. Luna is more standoffish and wary of people. It has taken her a long time to warm up at all and allow contact. She is going to need a lot of slow, patient interactions to continue to reinforce positive connections with people. Ultimately she would make an excellent driving partner or in hand partner for an adult. Due to her history and personality, we do not believe she will ever be a good fit for a child. This spicy little mare has beautiful flashy movement and is well matched to Celestia!

Princess Cadence- Adoption Fee $800
Cadence is a spicy little 2 year old filly who loves to play! Her antics keep us entertained all day! This little girl went from being very wary and unpredictable to downright sociable fairly quickly with a kind and gentle approach. She loves to learn! She would make an amazing in hand partner while she grows, and may be a good fit as a riding pony once she is older as she faces new things with bravery! Princess Cadence is working on leading in new environments, working with enrichment items, desensitizing, and working with her feet being handled more consistently. She should have no restrictions as an adult, and has even shown an aptitude for in-hand jumping!

Noodle- Adoption fee $3000
Noodle is a late 20's mule standing at about 13.2 hh. She's done a bit of everything, even been through 4-H. Noodle doesn't care for grooming (can be a wiggly noodle) but does like her head and ear scratches and cuddles. When she is feeling safe, she will shove her head into your arms for hugs! We love this sweet girl but she has made it clear that she would like a kid of her own to work with. Miss Noodle is as honest a mule as they come, so if your leg is in the wrong place or your weight, she will tattle on you, but never in a dangerous way. For example, she once marched a student backwards around the arena three times when they couldn't figure out how to roll their weight forward into the correct spot! Noodle doesn't have a mean bone in her body and would love to find a semi-retirement home. She is an absolute rock star on trails, even when we had dogs jump out at us once. She very carefully took care of the tiny human on her back and got rid of the dogs without a fuss. We can't say enough good things!

Reggie- Adoption fee $1200
This handsome mule is full of sass and beans- and we like him that way! This smart, outgoing boy is the first to meet you at the gate or during feed time, and will need a mule knowledgeable person. He is strong, independent, and he doesn’t need a silly human….but scratches and treats and snuggles are so nice! With time and consistent boundaries, Reggie should make an exemplary mule partner for trails, arena work, or anything else you might want to try. Train him your way from the ground up, he is a true blank canvas!

Ladybug- Adoption Fee $3000
Ladybug is an older pony mare, standing at about 13.2 hh. Though she is in her late 20's, this sweet sassy girl has the energy of a much younger mare. Great step up pony for a confident beginner or above for smaller riders. Ladybug does have Cushing's, which we control currently with diet. She also is finishing filling back out after a serious infection, but we are so happy to see her bouncing back to her normal self. Ladybug has been through 4-h and goes English or western, and can do showmanship if her handler can hold consistent boundaries on the ground as she can be a bit pushy. This little golden nugget is happy to stand tied and be fussed over all day, as long as she isnt left alone at the tie bar. If she is, she calls back her human staff by pawing at the ground until they pay attention to her again. This little pony is worthy of her golden coat- that is to say she is worth her weight in gold! Ladybug would do best in a semi-retired home, riding just a few days a week.

Buster- Adoption fee (Inquire for single or pair)
Buster and his pal Pacer came into our care in a sad way. These lovely geldings were very lucky and were rescued before entering the auction and slaughter pipeline, but unfortunately their rescuer and owner of over 10 years passed away suddenly. Both boys were very loved in their former home (maybe too much, those aren't ribs- they're fat rolls!) Both are said to have been ridden at some point in the distant past, but while with their previous owner they were a pasture ornaments and offered comfort and companionship. Once Buster gets comfortable, he is a friendly super sweet in your pocket kind of guy. We would like to find a companion home for Buster and Pacer, ideally together as they have been each other's only equine companions for ten years. We will separate them as a last resort. Pacer is currently in a foster home- contact to set up a meet and greet!

Mya- Adoption fee $800
Miss Mya is a early 20's appaloosa mare. Initially, we had high hopes for Mya and thought we would be able to get her to the point of riding again. Unfortunately, it has become clear that she likely has Kissing Spine or some other similar congenital ailment in her spine that will not allow her to bear weight again. Mya can be pushy on the ground, and is on the anxious side in new situations. She settles pretty quickly with a buddy or when in familiar settings. With time, she could be a handy in-hand or liberty horse, as she picks new things up quickly! Mya would do best as a companion horse, or as an in-hand only horse.
